July 2023: Nearing one year old, Dill thinks he's too mature for childish kitten games, that is, until you toss his favorite mousey toys to him and it's on like Donkey Kong. He has a ferocious battle cry to strike fear into their little catnip scented hearts! Once the battle is won, he enjoys a victory nap in the sun or a good snuggle. He's also expressed some interest in going outside when he sees us through the window so we've started some harness training (see video). He doesn't dart for the door though, so it's not so much wanting to be outside, but more a desire to hang out with his family, no matter where we are.

February 2023: After moving from our intake facility to a new foster home, he settled in VERY quickly and then showed Oregano the ropes. He gets along great with his foster cat family, but he's not the biggest fan of the dog, who's a hyper, 30-pound terrier... tolerant at best. With the right family and the right dog, he might come around to liking dogs.

Dill is a round boy with short, extra-thick fur. He's reminiscent of a Scottish Fold, but with tuxedo markings, perky ears and expressive eyes. Sometimes he's chatty if you start the conversation.

December 2022: Dill is one of eight kittens rescued from a large hoarding situation, but he acts like he's been doted upon since day one. Friendly, playful, and interested in people, Dill enjoys roughhousing with his little brother Oregano, who is half his size. Although they tumble and tussle, Dill's always gentle and considerate, with other cats as well as people. Dill's not afraid to ask people for attention--and food--but he's not pushy and always says "thank you."

At Laramie Animal Welfare Society, the first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website www.laramieanimals.org. Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by our adoption team which typically takes 7+ days.  Keep in mind, the animal you’re interested in when applying may be adopted and no longer available by the time your application is approved. We do not place animals on hold.   Pending approval, your application is valid for 6 months. Also pending approval, you will receive contact information, so that you may inquire about the personalities of specific animals. Adoptions for individual animals will occur by private adoption appointment. Because we are 100% foster-based, appointments are scheduled pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules.  Should you want to proceed with the adoption, a brief appointment will occur at our adoption center to sign adoption paperwork, receive medical records, and pay the adoption fee.

**Dog/Puppy applications -  Because of the large volume of dog/puppy applications we are receiving these applications may take longer to process, please be patient. We do not do first come first serve but we place the dog/puppy in the best suited home. If you have questions about the Dog/Puppy process please email lawsdogprogram@gmail.com**
